IOOF Sonora Scholarships

Every year IOOF Sonora honors its original mission of youth education by providing generous scholarships to graduating seniors going into trades and/or vocational schools, with a secondary focus on those going into service professions. Although there are many scholarships available through the local high school for students headed straight to a university after graduation, very few students are recognized for their willingness to build, create, and develop professionally in trades. IOOF Sonora recognizes skilled trades as critical to the survival of our community and our country and that while a university degree is valuable, it is not the ONLY path to success.
